In 2016, a non-profit was established to serve the people of Detail called Fastina's Hands for Haiti. It's focus was to provide child sponsorship programs for meals and education services for 300 children aged 3-18.

The program operated until December 2020. When the non-profit closed, it left an opportunity for another non-profit to continue building resources and supporting the school for the children of Detail to learn and build self sufficiency.

Past board members and volunteers of the previous organization began meeting in the spring of 2021 to establish a new non-profit to continue providing support and encouragement for the important work happening in the rural community of Detail.

Devoted Hands for Detail, Haiti, Inc. was then established as a non-profit and filings for 501(c)3 status are being processed. DHDH is able to begin receiving tax deductible donations immediately through partnership with International Council of Covenant Ministries to address the needs of the community in Detail.
